The temperature format is kind of a joke and I’m still calibrating the compass, but I like the look, feel and fit.

I would have to say that this is the best watch I ever owned. While it’s not perfect, it’s darn close. The key thing I would have to say about it is that does take some getting used to. One being the extra hand (Temp/Tide/Compass hand). Until you get used to looking at the watch & discerning which hand is which you can mistake extra hand as a time hand.

Which could have been avoided simply by making either the time hands or the extra hand a distinctly different color. But that is overcome with time.

The temp is not accurate when you are wearing the watch, you have to take it off & let it sit for a few minutes for it to be accurate (they do note that in the instructions).

The Tide reading is not precise either but to expect it to be is sorta of silly. It is close enough to be acceptable (at least to me).

The compass has been pretty accurate in my uses, not perfect but well withing reason.

Overall I feel the watch is well worth the money.

This Timex expedition watch was like the most cool watch. It was as if you have waited all your life for it. Then there it is! I am very happy

with all the little goodies that have been included. It has the most awsome striking yellow face. It “pops” that’s for sure. If this watch doesn’t catch eyes they got to be blind. It seems to be a rugged watch also and has kept time to the tick.

  • why four stars and not five for this very cool watch? probably only because the numbers on the dial are so very small. but what can one expect when timex packed so much into this watch. okay here is what i think…it is a big watch, but the black bezel against the yellow face makes the watch appear smaller than it is. it is a bit heavy, but no troubles. the strap is great, i realy like the silicone/rubber straps, i find them comfortable, tough, and unaffected by sweat and other moisture. the thermometer and the compass both seem very accurate – tides? i don’t know; the time over the last month is accurate to within a second or so (i set it against directv). the numbers are small and at first i had some trouble distiguishing which hand was which, especially at night, but as i become familiar with the face it is easier and easier for me to interpret it quickly and correctly. I am not a jewelry person (i wear only the watch and my wedding ring) but i am pleased (proud?) of how the watch looks – though the people who have noticed it and complimented it so far seem to be the the twenty something group (i am 45). so all in all it is a GREAT and COOL watch and i am extremely happy i purchased it.
