  i bought this for my 7yr old daughter, that is diabetic. It works great and we had no trouble setting it. Maybe other reviews say otherwise but it goes off for the time we set so she could check her sugar at school without teachers helping her. brought it home and she wore it to school the next morning. Maybe you shouldn’t buy it if you have a phd because us normal folks from the country had no problems. Had it for 6mths now and thinking of buying other colors.

  I actually bought this watch at JcPennys. On clearance for $12 and now I know why. First, it came w. no instructions. I seriously thought I dropped it on the floor somewhere and spent 10 min trying to find it. Then, I read the reviews and realized there are no instructions! Fine. However, even after reading the instructions on the Armitron website (which by the way are general instructions and did not even have my model #) I couldn’t set the thing! This watch looks cute but is totally weird and ridiculous because good luck trying to set it. Going back to return it now…

  I bought this watch for my daughter. Got home and there were no instructions. I went to the Armitron web site and found instructions right away… but not for this model. I totally support putting instructions online instead of in the package but it has to be easy to find the instructions and one way they could improve the instruction getting experience (beyond actually having them) would be to link the correct instructions from the product page in addition to having them from the watch instructions page.

  The other reviewers are right, it is essentially impossible to set the time on this watch. My daughter talked me in to buying it at Penny’s and there were no instructions. I have a Ph.D. in the physical sciences and gave up after half an hour. Don’t waste your money.

  It took 3 intelligent people to set the time correctly, couldn’t turn off the hourly chime, then when daylight savings time came around, we couldn’t get it reset. Waste of money, but cute.
